Henry Yeary

Henry is passionate about appreciating the small moments in life. As a natural adventurer, he seeks out experiences to expand and refine his perspective. He's been involved in the theater for almost a decade now, which constantly helps him improve his ability to connect with others. Also involved in the environment, Henry has worked to spread awareness about climate change and the overall necessity of keeping our home as healthy as possible. Henry's goals for the year are to dive deeply into a community of completely foreign culture and absorb as much as humanly possible. But more than anything, Henry just wants to live and learn about the world, a lifelong journey of his that is far from over. His favorite quote is “It is always now. This might sound trite, but it is the truth; and to realize this is liberating. In fact, I think there is nothing more important to understand if you want to be happy in this world."

I’m currently suspended 37,000ft over the Caribbean Sea, finally on my way to Ecuador, where I will spend the next 8 months of my life expanding my notion of normal by immersing into an unknown culture. Acknowledging that adapting to a foreign lifestyle is easier said than done, I made sure to pack my bags...
