Divya Sampath

Divya is passionate about sustainability and empowerment through education, having seen the power of both when she spent a few years and summer months in India. She is involved in science research and conservation efforts, as well as initiatives to foster cultural awareness and reduce the achievement gap in New York schools. Divya was also a part of her school’s Washington Seminar, during which she met with thinkers and leaders in D.C. on domestic and foreign affairs, and is now excited to see the grassroots side of development. Her goals for the year are to learn to speak and sing in Spanish, hear people's stories, and make lifelong friends in Ecuador.
